How a year is read in Vedic astrology

Four layers are read together. Your planetary periods (Vimshottari Mahadasha and Antardasha) set the year's main themes. The transits of the slow planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu) counted from your natal Moon, show which months support you and which ask for care. Saturn over the signs around your Moon is Sade Sati or Dhaiya. And the Varshaphal, the annual chart cast for your solar return, adds the year's own focus through the Muntha and Mudda Dasha.

Tirth shows each month with the factors behind it, the best months for career, money, relationships, health and education, and remedies for the planets that matter that year.

How it works

Every tool uses the same chart and the same classical rules as your full Kundli report, so the results always agree with your reading.

Frequently asked questions

Which year can I see?

This calendar year, next year, or the 12 months from your most recent birthday (your Varshaphal year).

What does 'needs care' mean for a month?

That month's classical cautions (such as Sade Sati or a period planet under strain) outnumber its favourable factors. It is a tendency to plan around, not a prediction of an event.

Is this the same as Varshaphal?

Varshaphal is one of the four layers. The yearly prediction combines it with your planetary periods, transits and Sade Sati.
