Panchang
Today is Pratipada of Shukla Paksha in Ashadha month, with the Moon in Ardra Nakshatra. Rahu Kaal: 10:19 am–12:03 pm. Abhijit Muhurat, traditionally considered auspicious, is from 11:35 am to 12:31 pm. The answers below are calculated for Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and refresh every day.
On Friday, 23 June 2028, the tithi in Ayodhya is Pratipada, from 11:58 pm (prev day) to 09:52 pm, followed by Dwitiya, from 09:52 pm to 07:29 pm (next day). It falls in Shukla Paksha of Ashadha (Amanta) / Ashadha (Purnimanta).
The Moon is in Ardra, from 10:22 pm (prev day) to 09:05 pm, then Punarvasu, from 09:05 pm to 07:30 pm (next day) on Friday, 23 June 2028 in Ayodhya. The Moon is in Gemini and the Sun in Gemini.
Rahu Kaal in Ayodhya today (Friday) runs from 10:19 am to 12:03 pm. It is a period of about 90 minutes that is traditionally avoided for starting new ventures; its timing depends on the weekday and on local sunrise and sunset, so it differs from city to city.
In Ayodhya on Friday, 23 June 2028, sunrise is at 05:08 am and sunset at 06:58 pm; moonrise is at 05:22 am. The Hindu day runs from sunrise to the next sunrise.
Abhijit Muhurat in Ayodhya today is from 11:35 am to 12:31 pm, around local midday. It is traditionally considered a favourable window.
Auspicious daytime choghadiya today: Labh 06:52 am–08:36 am; Amrit 08:36 am–10:19 am; Shubh 12:03 pm–01:47 pm. Choghadiya divides the day and the night into eight parts each; Amrit, Shubh and Labh are the auspicious ones.
The Panchang is computed for the exact coordinates of Ayodhya (26.79°N, 82.20°E) from the real positions of the Sun and Moon. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana are shown with their start and end times, in Ayodhya's local time.
“Panchang” means “five limbs”: tithi (lunar day), vaar (weekday), nakshatra (the lunar mansion the Moon occupies), yoga (a Sun–Moon angular combination) and karana (half of a tithi). Together with Rahu Kaal, Abhijit Muhurat and choghadiya, they are used to choose favourable times for prayers, travel and new beginnings.
