Panchang
Today is Saptami of Shukla Paksha in Ashadha month, with the Moon in Uttara Phalguni Nakshatra. It is observed as Masik Durgashtami. Rahu Kaal: 1:48 pm–3:31 pm. Abhijit Muhurat, traditionally considered auspicious, is from 11:37 am to 12:32 pm. The answers below are calculated for Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and refresh every day.
On Thursday, 29 June 2028, the tithi in Ayodhya is Saptami, from 09:08 am (prev day) to 06:47 am, followed by Ashtami, from 06:47 am to 04:39 am (next day). It falls in Shukla Paksha of Ashadha (Amanta) / Ashadha (Purnimanta).
The Moon is in Uttara Phalguni, from 12:23 pm (prev day) to 10:51 am, then Hasta, from 10:51 am to 09:34 am (next day) on Thursday, 29 June 2028 in Ayodhya. The Moon is in Virgo and the Sun in Gemini.
Rahu Kaal in Ayodhya today (Thursday) runs from 01:48 pm to 03:31 pm. It is a period of about 90 minutes that is traditionally avoided for starting new ventures; its timing depends on the weekday and on local sunrise and sunset, so it differs from city to city.
In Ayodhya on Thursday, 29 June 2028, sunrise is at 05:10 am and sunset at 06:59 pm; moonrise is at 11:53 am. The Hindu day runs from sunrise to the next sunrise.
Abhijit Muhurat in Ayodhya today is from 11:37 am to 12:32 pm, around local midday. It is traditionally considered a favourable window.
Auspicious daytime choghadiya today: Shubh 05:10 am–06:53 am; Labh 12:04 pm–01:48 pm; Amrit 01:48 pm–03:31 pm; Shubh 05:15 pm–06:59 pm. Choghadiya divides the day and the night into eight parts each; Amrit, Shubh and Labh are the auspicious ones.
The Panchang is computed for the exact coordinates of Ayodhya (26.79°N, 82.20°E) from the real positions of the Sun and Moon. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana are shown with their start and end times, in Ayodhya's local time.
“Panchang” means “five limbs”: tithi (lunar day), vaar (weekday), nakshatra (the lunar mansion the Moon occupies), yoga (a Sun–Moon angular combination) and karana (half of a tithi). Together with Rahu Kaal, Abhijit Muhurat and choghadiya, they are used to choose favourable times for prayers, travel and new beginnings.
