What is the Navamsa chart?
The Navamsa (D9) divides each sign into nine parts and is the most important divisional chart after the birth chart, read for marriage, inner strength and how well planets truly deliver. Parashara describes sixteen divisional charts in all (the Shodashavarga), each read for one area of life: D1 Rashi for the whole life, D2 Hora for wealth, D3 Drekkana for siblings, D4 Chaturthamsha for property, D7 Saptamsha for children, D9 Navamsha for marriage, D10 Dashamsha for career, D12 Dwadashamsha for parents, D16 Shodashamsha for vehicles and comforts, D20 Vimshamsha for spiritual progress, D24 Chaturvimshamsha for learning, D27 Saptavimshamsha for strengths and weaknesses, D30 Trimshamsha for misfortunes, D40 Khavedamsha for effects from the mother's line, D45 Akshavedamsha for effects from the father's line and D60 Shashtyamsha for overall results and past karma. Tirth draws all sixteen from your own placements.
How it works
Every tool uses the same chart and the same classical rules as your full Kundli report, so the results always agree with your reading.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my Navamsa ascendant differ from my birth ascendant?
Each divisional chart is calculated separately; the Navamsa ascendant changes about every 13 minutes, so an accurate birth time matters.
