The Mansa Devi Mela is an important religious festival on the Mansa Devi Temple in Haridwar. It is a temple of Goddess Mansa Devi and is among the Panch Tirths (Five Pilgrimages) in Haridwar. Religionists come to the temple to tie sacred strings to the branches of the holy trees and they think that their desires will be released. Special prayers (Aarti) twice per day are also a characteristic of the event, and the temple is especially filled at such festivals as Navratri. The pilgrims can access the temple either by foot or through the ropeway service.
