Temple of Fourteen Gods

Kharchi Puja is a festival week of Hinduism of Agartala, Tripura, to celebrate the fourteen gods of Tripuri people and Mother Earth. The festival also tries to purify the planet and the human race of sins, and to find blessings of prosperity and well-being. It includes taking of bath in the river that is called Saidra, and then the god idols are decorated with flowers, traditional clothes, and vermillion paste. The festival also involves animal sacrifices, presenting of sweets and sacrificial meat, and other programs and a big fair of their culture.
