The Gita Jayanti or the Gita Mahotsav is a religious Hindu festival commemorating a day in which the Bhagavad Gita was discussed between Arjuna and Krishna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. The festival is followed with great religious zeal and would involve shloka reciting, dances, Bhagwad Katha reading, Bhajans, Dramas, Book Exhibitions and free Medical check-up camps.
