The Bengaluru Karaga Festival is an 9-day festival that is dedicated to Draupadi, the wife of the Pandavas of Mahabharata. It is arranged by the Thigala community and has a unique procession where a priest in female attires carries a pyramid crowned with flowers on his head. The festival also involves sword action by Veerakumaras, touring of different temples and a major visit to the Mastan Saab Dargah, a symbol of Hindu-Muslim amalgamation.
