Suparshvanath is honored as the seventh Tirthankara in Jainism, guiding devotees on the path of liberation through right knowledge, right faith, and right conduct. He was born in Varanasi, the son of King Pratishthasen and Queen Prithvi Devi. From his early days, Suparshvanath was known for his calm nature, wisdom, and gentle leadership. Jain families remember him with devotion for teaching that a truly peaceful life is found not in power or possessions, but in friendship, compassion, and renunciation. It is said that after his birth, even those kingdoms that once threatened war turned to peace, giving him the name 'Suparshva,' meaning 'good friends.' Every morning, temples and homes are filled with the gentle chime of bells as devotees bow before his idol, praying for inner peace, wisdom, and the strength to let go of anger and possessiveness.

In the quiet stillness of early morning, the sound of collective prayer rises softly: 'Om Arham' and 'Om Shri Suparshvanathaya Namah.' While there is no one exclusive mantra for Suparshvanath, these chants carry special significance and are recited with devotion. The simple repetition helps devotees to focus the mind, calm restless thoughts, and remember the virtues of the Tirthankara—detachment, compassion, and purity. Many also recite the Namokar Mantra, the foundational Jain prayer, which honors all Tirthankaras including Suparshvanath. During puja or while turning a mala between their fingers, devotees reflect on these sacred sounds, asking for wisdom, harmony, and inner strength. Children are gently taught to say these mantras before beginning their studies, and elders find comfort in their repetition, trusting the sound to cleanse the heart and guide every action toward truth and non-violence.
