Panchang
Today is Ashtami of Shukla Paksha in Jyeshtha month, with the Moon in Magha Nakshatra. It is observed as Masik Durgashtami. Rahu Kaal: 12:51 pm–2:32 pm. The answers below are calculated for Dwarka, Gujarat and refresh every day.
On Wednesday, 31 May 2028, the tithi in Dwarka is Ashtami, from 02:13 am to 12:00 am (next day), followed by Navami, from 12:00 am (next day) to 09:46 pm (next day). It falls in Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha (Amanta) / Jyeshtha (Purnimanta).
The Moon is in Magha, from 09:46 am (prev day) to 08:22 am, then Purva Phalguni, from 08:22 am to 06:56 am (next day) on Wednesday, 31 May 2028 in Dwarka. The Moon is in Leo and the Sun in Taurus.
Rahu Kaal in Dwarka today (Wednesday) runs from 12:51 pm to 02:32 pm. It is a period of about 90 minutes that is traditionally avoided for starting new ventures; its timing depends on the weekday and on local sunrise and sunset, so it differs from city to city.
In Dwarka on Wednesday, 31 May 2028, sunrise is at 06:09 am and sunset at 07:34 pm; moonrise is at 12:51 pm. The Hindu day runs from sunrise to the next sunrise.
There is no Abhijit Muhurat today (Wednesday). Traditionally it is not observed on Wednesdays.
Auspicious daytime choghadiya today: Labh 06:09 am–07:50 am; Amrit 07:50 am–09:30 am; Shubh 11:11 am–12:51 pm; Labh 05:53 pm–07:34 pm. Choghadiya divides the day and the night into eight parts each; Amrit, Shubh and Labh are the auspicious ones.
The Panchang is computed for the exact coordinates of Dwarka (22.24°N, 68.97°E) from the real positions of the Sun and Moon. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana are shown with their start and end times, in Dwarka's local time.
“Panchang” means “five limbs”: tithi (lunar day), vaar (weekday), nakshatra (the lunar mansion the Moon occupies), yoga (a Sun–Moon angular combination) and karana (half of a tithi). Together with Rahu Kaal, Abhijit Muhurat and choghadiya, they are used to choose favourable times for prayers, travel and new beginnings.
