Panchang
Today is Purnima of Shukla Paksha in Vaishakha month, with the Moon in Swati Nakshatra. It is observed as Buddha Purnima and Vaishakha Purnima. Rahu Kaal: 7:55 am–9:34 am. Abhijit Muhurat, traditionally considered auspicious, is from 12:24 pm to 1:16 pm. The answers below are calculated for Dwarka, Gujarat and refresh every day.
On Monday, 8 May 2028, the tithi in Dwarka is Purnima, from 03:33 am to 01:19 am (next day), followed by Pratipada, from 01:19 am (next day) to 11:32 pm (next day). It falls in Shukla Paksha of Vaishakha (Amanta) / Vaishakha (Purnimanta).
The Moon is in Swati, from 07:17 pm (prev day) to 05:42 pm, then Vishakha, from 05:42 pm to 04:31 pm (next day) on Monday, 8 May 2028 in Dwarka. The Moon is in Libra and the Sun in Aries.
Rahu Kaal in Dwarka today (Monday) runs from 07:55 am to 09:34 am. It is a period of about 90 minutes that is traditionally avoided for starting new ventures; its timing depends on the weekday and on local sunrise and sunset, so it differs from city to city.
In Dwarka on Monday, 8 May 2028, sunrise is at 06:17 am and sunset at 07:23 pm; moonrise is at 07:07 pm. The Hindu day runs from sunrise to the next sunrise.
Abhijit Muhurat in Dwarka today is from 12:24 pm to 01:16 pm, around local midday. It is traditionally considered a favourable window.
Auspicious daytime choghadiya today: Amrit 06:17 am–07:55 am; Shubh 09:34 am–11:12 am; Labh 04:07 pm–05:45 pm; Amrit 05:45 pm–07:23 pm. Choghadiya divides the day and the night into eight parts each; Amrit, Shubh and Labh are the auspicious ones.
The Panchang is computed for the exact coordinates of Dwarka (22.24°N, 68.97°E) from the real positions of the Sun and Moon. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana are shown with their start and end times, in Dwarka's local time.
“Panchang” means “five limbs”: tithi (lunar day), vaar (weekday), nakshatra (the lunar mansion the Moon occupies), yoga (a Sun–Moon angular combination) and karana (half of a tithi). Together with Rahu Kaal, Abhijit Muhurat and choghadiya, they are used to choose favourable times for prayers, travel and new beginnings.
