Today is Tritiya of Krishna Paksha in Shravana month, with the Moon in Dhanishta Nakshatra. It is observed as Sankashti Chaturthi. Rahu Kaal: 12:26 pm–2:10 pm. The answers below are calculated for Delhi, Delhi and refresh every day.
On Wednesday, 12 July 2017, the tithi in Delhi is Tritiya, from 12:57 pm (prev day) to 02:04 pm, followed by Chaturthi, from 02:04 pm to 02:45 pm (next day). It falls in Krishna Paksha of Ashadha (Amanta) / Shravana (Purnimanta).
The Moon is in Dhanishta, from 09:10 pm (prev day) to 10:49 pm, then Shatabhisha, from 10:49 pm to 12:00 am (next day) on Wednesday, 12 July 2017 in Delhi. The Moon is in Capricorn and the Sun in Gemini.
Rahu Kaal in Delhi today (Wednesday) runs from 12:26 pm to 02:10 pm. It is a period of about 90 minutes that is traditionally avoided for starting new ventures; its timing depends on the weekday and on local sunrise and sunset, so it differs from city to city.
In Delhi on Wednesday, 12 July 2017, sunrise is at 05:31 am and sunset at 07:21 pm; moonrise is at 09:34 pm. The Hindu day runs from sunrise to the next sunrise.
There is no Abhijit Muhurat today (Wednesday). Traditionally it is not observed on Wednesdays.
Auspicious daytime choghadiya today: Labh 05:31 am–07:15 am; Amrit 07:15 am–08:59 am; Shubh 10:42 am–12:26 pm; Labh 05:38 pm–07:21 pm. Choghadiya divides the day and the night into eight parts each; Amrit, Shubh and Labh are the auspicious ones.
The Panchang is computed for the exact coordinates of Delhi (28.61°N, 77.21°E) from the real positions of the Sun and Moon. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana are shown with their start and end times, in Delhi's local time.
“Panchang” means “five limbs”: tithi (lunar day), vaar (weekday), nakshatra (the lunar mansion the Moon occupies), yoga (a Sun–Moon angular combination) and karana (half of a tithi). Together with Rahu Kaal, Abhijit Muhurat and choghadiya, they are used to choose favourable times for prayers, travel and new beginnings.
