Panchang
Today is Pratipada of Shukla Paksha in Vaishakha month, with the Moon in Bharani Nakshatra. Rahu Kaal: 3:17 pm–4:57 pm. Abhijit Muhurat, traditionally considered auspicious, is from 11:31 am to 12:24 pm. The answers below are calculated for Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and refresh every day.
On Tuesday, 8 May 2035, the tithi in Ayodhya is Pratipada, from 01:34 am to 10:01 pm, followed by Dwitiya, from 10:01 pm to 06:24 pm (next day). It falls in Shukla Paksha of Vaishakha (Amanta) / Vaishakha (Purnimanta).
The Moon is in Bharani, from 10:23 am (prev day) to 07:49 am, then Krittika, from 07:49 am to 05:02 am (next day) on Tuesday, 8 May 2035 in Ayodhya. The Moon is in Aries and the Sun in Aries.
Rahu Kaal in Ayodhya today (Tuesday) runs from 03:17 pm to 04:57 pm. It is a period of about 90 minutes that is traditionally avoided for starting new ventures; its timing depends on the weekday and on local sunrise and sunset, so it differs from city to city.
In Ayodhya on Tuesday, 8 May 2035, sunrise is at 05:18 am and sunset at 06:37 pm; moonrise is at 05:46 am. The Hindu day runs from sunrise to the next sunrise.
Abhijit Muhurat in Ayodhya today is from 11:31 am to 12:24 pm, around local midday. It is traditionally considered a favourable window.
Auspicious daytime choghadiya today: Labh 10:17 am–11:57 am; Amrit 11:57 am–01:37 pm; Shubh 03:17 pm–04:57 pm. Choghadiya divides the day and the night into eight parts each; Amrit, Shubh and Labh are the auspicious ones.
The Panchang is computed for the exact coordinates of Ayodhya (26.79°N, 82.20°E) from the real positions of the Sun and Moon. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana are shown with their start and end times, in Ayodhya's local time.
“Panchang” means “five limbs”: tithi (lunar day), vaar (weekday), nakshatra (the lunar mansion the Moon occupies), yoga (a Sun–Moon angular combination) and karana (half of a tithi). Together with Rahu Kaal, Abhijit Muhurat and choghadiya, they are used to choose favourable times for prayers, travel and new beginnings.
