Panchang
Today is Purnima of Shukla Paksha in Vaishakha month, with the Moon in Anuradha Nakshatra. It is observed as Buddha Purnima and Vaishakha Purnima. Rahu Kaal: 3:22 pm–5:05 pm. Abhijit Muhurat, traditionally considered auspicious, is from 11:31 am to 12:25 pm. The answers below are calculated for Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and refresh every day.
On Tuesday, 25 May 2032, the tithi in Ayodhya is Purnima, from 09:27 am (prev day) to 08:07 am, followed by Pratipada, from 08:07 am to 06:18 am (next day). It falls in Shukla Paksha of Vaishakha (Amanta) / Vaishakha (Purnimanta).
The Moon is in Anuradha, from 08:12 pm (prev day) to 07:23 pm, then Jyeshtha, from 07:23 pm to 06:07 pm (next day) on Tuesday, 25 May 2032 in Ayodhya. The Moon is in Scorpio and the Sun in Taurus.
Rahu Kaal in Ayodhya today (Tuesday) runs from 03:22 pm to 05:05 pm. It is a period of about 90 minutes that is traditionally avoided for starting new ventures; its timing depends on the weekday and on local sunrise and sunset, so it differs from city to city.
In Ayodhya on Tuesday, 25 May 2032, sunrise is at 05:09 am and sunset at 06:47 pm; moonrise is at 07:06 pm. The Hindu day runs from sunrise to the next sunrise.
Abhijit Muhurat in Ayodhya today is from 11:31 am to 12:25 pm, around local midday. It is traditionally considered a favourable window.
Auspicious daytime choghadiya today: Labh 10:16 am–11:58 am; Amrit 11:58 am–01:40 pm; Shubh 03:22 pm–05:05 pm. Choghadiya divides the day and the night into eight parts each; Amrit, Shubh and Labh are the auspicious ones.
The Panchang is computed for the exact coordinates of Ayodhya (26.79°N, 82.20°E) from the real positions of the Sun and Moon. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana are shown with their start and end times, in Ayodhya's local time.
“Panchang” means “five limbs”: tithi (lunar day), vaar (weekday), nakshatra (the lunar mansion the Moon occupies), yoga (a Sun–Moon angular combination) and karana (half of a tithi). Together with Rahu Kaal, Abhijit Muhurat and choghadiya, they are used to choose favourable times for prayers, travel and new beginnings.
