Panchang
Today is Amavasya of Krishna Paksha in Jyeshtha month, with the Moon in Mrigashira Nakshatra. It is observed as Jyeshtha Amavasya, Shani Jayanti and Vat Savitri Vrat. Rahu Kaal: 3:28 pm–5:11 pm. Abhijit Muhurat, traditionally considered auspicious, is from 11:33 am to 12:28 pm. The answers below are calculated for Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and refresh every day.
On Tuesday, 12 June 2029, the tithi in Ayodhya is Amavasya, from 08:18 am (prev day) to 09:21 am, followed by Pratipada, from 09:21 am to 09:56 am (next day). It falls in Krishna Paksha of Vaishakha (Amanta) / Jyeshtha (Purnimanta).
The Moon is in Mrigashira, from 01:54 am to 03:17 am (next day), then Ardra, from 03:17 am (next day) to 04:13 am (next day) on Tuesday, 12 June 2029 in Ayodhya. The Moon is in Taurus and the Sun in Taurus.
Rahu Kaal in Ayodhya today (Tuesday) runs from 03:28 pm to 05:11 pm. It is a period of about 90 minutes that is traditionally avoided for starting new ventures; its timing depends on the weekday and on local sunrise and sunset, so it differs from city to city.
In Ayodhya on Tuesday, 12 June 2029, sunrise is at 05:06 am and sunset at 06:55 pm; moonrise is at 04:58 am. The Hindu day runs from sunrise to the next sunrise.
Abhijit Muhurat in Ayodhya today is from 11:33 am to 12:28 pm, around local midday. It is traditionally considered a favourable window.
Auspicious daytime choghadiya today: Labh 10:17 am–12:01 pm; Amrit 12:01 pm–01:44 pm; Shubh 03:28 pm–05:11 pm. Choghadiya divides the day and the night into eight parts each; Amrit, Shubh and Labh are the auspicious ones.
The Panchang is computed for the exact coordinates of Ayodhya (26.79°N, 82.20°E) from the real positions of the Sun and Moon. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana are shown with their start and end times, in Ayodhya's local time.
“Panchang” means “five limbs”: tithi (lunar day), vaar (weekday), nakshatra (the lunar mansion the Moon occupies), yoga (a Sun–Moon angular combination) and karana (half of a tithi). Together with Rahu Kaal, Abhijit Muhurat and choghadiya, they are used to choose favourable times for prayers, travel and new beginnings.
