Panchang
Today is Navami of Shukla Paksha in Kartika month, with the Moon in Shravana Nakshatra. Rahu Kaal: 1:09 pm–2:34 pm. Abhijit Muhurat, traditionally considered auspicious, is from 11:22 am to 12:07 pm. The answers below are calculated for Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and refresh every day.
On Thursday, 26 October 2028, the tithi in Ayodhya is Navami, from 11:15 pm (prev day) to 01:21 am (next day), followed by Dashami, from 01:21 am (next day) to 03:48 am (next day). It falls in Shukla Paksha of Kartika (Amanta) / Kartika (Purnimanta).
The Moon is in Shravana, from 02:12 pm (prev day) to 04:39 pm, then Dhanishta, from 04:39 pm to 07:29 pm (next day) on Thursday, 26 October 2028 in Ayodhya. The Moon is in Capricorn and the Sun in Libra.
Rahu Kaal in Ayodhya today (Thursday) runs from 01:09 pm to 02:34 pm. It is a period of about 90 minutes that is traditionally avoided for starting new ventures; its timing depends on the weekday and on local sunrise and sunset, so it differs from city to city.
In Ayodhya on Thursday, 26 October 2028, sunrise is at 06:06 am and sunset at 05:23 pm; moonrise is at 01:19 pm. The Hindu day runs from sunrise to the next sunrise.
Abhijit Muhurat in Ayodhya today is from 11:22 am to 12:07 pm, around local midday. It is traditionally considered a favourable window.
Auspicious daytime choghadiya today: Shubh 06:06 am–07:31 am; Labh 11:44 am–01:09 pm; Amrit 01:09 pm–02:34 pm; Shubh 03:58 pm–05:23 pm. Choghadiya divides the day and the night into eight parts each; Amrit, Shubh and Labh are the auspicious ones.
The Panchang is computed for the exact coordinates of Ayodhya (26.79°N, 82.20°E) from the real positions of the Sun and Moon. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana are shown with their start and end times, in Ayodhya's local time.
“Panchang” means “five limbs”: tithi (lunar day), vaar (weekday), nakshatra (the lunar mansion the Moon occupies), yoga (a Sun–Moon angular combination) and karana (half of a tithi). Together with Rahu Kaal, Abhijit Muhurat and choghadiya, they are used to choose favourable times for prayers, travel and new beginnings.
