Is 5 days really enough for Kedarnath and Badrinath?+
Yes — this compact circuit works well. Day 1 is the drive to Sitapur, Day 2 is the full Kedarnath darshan, Day 3 is return from Kedarnath, Day 4 is Badrinath, and Day 5 is the return to Haridwar. You get proper time at both dhams. The only trade-off is a fast pace with no leisure days — perfect for those with exactly 5 days available.
How far is Haridwar from Kedarnath?+
Haridwar to Sitapur (base for Kedarnath) is approximately 210 km — a scenic 7–8 hour drive through Devprayag and Rudraprayag. Sitapur to Gaurikund (Kedarnath base) is 20 km more, plus the 18 km trek. We start early morning each day to maximise time at the dhams.
Can I book a pony/palki at Kedarnath in advance?+
Pony and palki bookings for Kedarnath can be done on-site at Gaurikund on the day of the trek. We advise arriving at Gaurikund by 6 AM to secure a pony — they get booked out quickly in peak season. We brief you on this the evening before. We don't pre-book ponies as part of the package, but our ground team helps you get one.
What does "Deluxe / Super Deluxe / Premium" mean for hotels?+
All tiers are clean, safe properties with meals. Deluxe are comfortable local hotels — solid mid-range. Super Deluxe have better rooms, often with mountain views and WiFi. Premium are higher-end properties or luxury camps with superior amenities like bonfire setups and broader menus. The gap in price is ₹2,000–₹8,000 per person across the trip — worth it for a more comfortable pilgrimage.
Is dinner and breakfast included every day?+
Yes — breakfast and dinner are included daily for all road package stays. Lunch is NOT included and is arranged by guests at roadside dhabas or their own cost. This is standard across all Himalayan yatra operators as lunch timing varies widely depending on drive distances and temple schedules each day.
